All of you will be improving your practices at the same time. Sharing your progress is powerful. It promotes accountability.

Every member’s transition starting point and speed to the finish line will be different. But the steps to get there, the path to get there, and milestones are the same.
You meet with the faculty to boost your ascent on the path.
You will meet with your peer group(s) at similar elevations to share KPI’s and celebrate the wins.

Once accepted into the Academy, your transition is organized into a structured plan that prioritizes each milestone in the proper sequence. Every step builds upon the one before it, helping minimize risk while creating momentum throughout the process.
You'll know what needs to happen, when it needs to happen, and why it matters.
Through individual coaching, collaborative group sessions, practical assignments, and ongoing support, you'll begin implementing your transition with confidence. Between meetings, you and your team will complete focused action items designed to move your practice forward without overwhelming your team or disrupting patient care.
You will learn from our faculty team members. Exposure to and interaction with your peer group will hold you, the other dentists, and all of the team members accountable and motivated.

One of the most memorable milestones for you and your team will be sending your first insurance disengagement letter. It feels SO good.
You and your team will want to recreate that feeling until all your plans are gone. Don’t be surprised if your whole team (front and back) ask what they can do to help the cause. These transitions can really bring a team together.
Behind Fee For Service Academy are three professionals who have spent decades helping independent dental practices build stronger businesses and more successful futures.
DO YOU QUALIFY?The story of Fee for Service Academy began back in the late 1980s, when Mark Dilatush walked into a Princeton, New Jersey dental practice as a practice management software representative and met Laura Russell, the practice's office manager. Laura knew dental practice operations. Mark understood technology, business systems, and analytics. Their first meeting sparked a professional friendship that would continue for more than thirty years as each built successful careers helping independent dentists grow stronger, healthier practices. Along the way, Laura became one of the Northeast's most respected dental consultants, Mark became a nationally recognized expert in dental business strategy and marketing, and Marci Voigt developed the operational leadership and systems that helped grow one of dentistry's premier organizations.

Over the years, Laura and Mark found themselves working together without ever officially becoming partners.
Laura referred clients to Mark. Mark referred clients to Laura.
More and more of those clients were looking for help transitioning away from insurance participation. Eventually, it became clear that their combined experience, and Marci's ability to build exceptional systems and member experiences, could become something much greater than individual consulting.
The Fee for Service Academy was born.
Today, nothing brings our faculty greater satisfaction than watching a member practice send its final insurance disengagement letter. It's more than ending a contract—it's watching years of preparation, hard work, and commitment lead to greater freedom, stronger profitability, and a future back under the doctor's control. That's why Fee for Service Academy exists, and it's why we're excited to help write the next chapter of your story.
